After the end of the Balkan war it turned out that the provision of energy to the public as well as to the economy was one of the most important factors to develop and to pacify the whole region.

The existing open pit mines with their huge lignite resources were far below their possible production capacities due to non-operational or missing heavy and mobile equipment. It was technically possible to repair and overhaul some of the big-bucket wheel excavators, the conveyors and the spreaders, however the mobile equipment to operate and assist within the mines was mainly exploited or totally out of order.

The aim of the projects is to have the bucket wheel excavators, the conveyors and the spreaders in faultless operation, to replace the missing mobile equipment and to improve the whole mining effectiveness.

The equipment should be suitable for the operation in open pit lignite mining under heavy off-road conditions, extreme environmental conditions in the mines with dust, sand, water, fog etc. need to be considered.

Several different contracts have been awarded to Boss Pro-Tec GmbH during 2001
to 2004.

The supplies, transport, distribution, commissioning and putting into operation was always executed according to the relevant contracts.

Our technicians took care of the off-loading from the railway or the heavy transport vehicles, the delivery to the sites, the commissioning, putting into operation, the first service and maintenance of the machines and the intensive training of drivers and technical personnel.
